Beach, er..Kiddie Pool Babes

I have lived in Colorado for so many years - most of my adult life - but I have not seen as hot of summers as we have had the last few years.  Today the temp was around 100 degrees, so we brought out the kiddie wading pool once again.  The girls love it.  Note the brown grass in the background.  :(  We just water enough to keep it from totally dying, as the water bills have been atrocious.  Thank goodness for that delicious cool Colorado air that you can expect every night even if the daytime is sweltering.  We turn off the A/C around dusk, open all the windows, put a fan in the upstairs window to draw the hot air out and the cool in, and we always get a good night's sleep and save on energy bills, too!
